I felt myself doing it before I came up with a word. A word that would stop him if what he did was too much for me and I trusted him to stop. I really did.

“What word, baby?”

I looked at my hands again where they still lay so still on his body as he untucked his shirt from his slacks. I watched as he loosened his red tie and tossed it on the bed next to the cuffs. He moved to unbutton his shirt and I watched his fingers dance up the lining of his shirt to reveal his chiseled chest, his six pack abs, and the V that teased me as my gaze traveled down his body. He was beautiful. Absolutely, in every way, beautiful.

“Carrie?”

I looked up at him and the word flashed in my mind and I said it out loud.

“Beautiful.”
